Vendor Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your participation as a Vendor on the SokoFasta platform (hereinafter referred to as “Platform”), operated in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

By registering as a Vendor, you agree to comply with the following terms:

1. Eligibility

You must be:

• At least 18 years old;
• Legally authorized to operate a business in Tanzania;
• Able to provide valid contact information, including your business name, address, and payment details.

2. Account Registration

Vendors must:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration;
• Keep their account credentials confidential;
• Be responsible for all activity under their account.

3. Business Compliance

You agree to:

• Operate in accordance with Tanzanian business laws and consumer protection regulations;
• Ensure your products or services meet health, safety, and licensing standards where applicable;
• Display accurate prices, descriptions, and availability.

4. Commissions and Payments

• The Platform will charge a 5% commission on each successful sale.
• Withdrawals are processed on [weekly/monthly] basis via selected payment methods (e.g. bank transfer, mobile money).
• You are responsible for any bank or transaction fees incurred during withdrawals.

5. Customer Communication

• Vendors must respond to customer queries, orders, and complaints promptly.
• Vendors must not mislead customers or engage in fraudulent activity.
• Direct contact information must be used only for legitimate transaction communication.

6. Order Fulfillment

• Vendors are responsible for timely delivery of products and services.
• Cancellation, return, or refund policies must comply with the Platform’s and Tanzanian consumer protection laws.

7. Taxes

• Vendors are solely responsible for their tax obligations, including VAT registration where applicable.
• The Platform may collect or report tax data where required by law.

8. Prohibited Activities

Vendors must not:

• Sell counterfeit or illegal items;
• Upload inappropriate content;
• Violate intellectual property rights.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your vendor account without notice for:

• Breach of any terms;
• Repeated customer complaints;
• Fraudulent or unethical behavior.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is not liable for:

• Damages from transactions between you and customers;
• Loss of business or income;
• Technical outages beyond our control.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Vendors will be notified of any major changes via email or dashboard.

By registering and continuing as a Vendor, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
